Julia
The B&B is owned and hosted by Julia, her 2 Border Collies and 5 Mini Pigs and has been open since February 2018 after Julia moved to South Wales from Sussex to live that rural dream and open up her accommodation business near the Brecon Beacons.
In a previous life Julia worked at Gatwick Airport in Security and completed a Masters Degree in GIS. She spends most of her time looking after the animals and exploring South Wales!
About Cwtch Farm
Cwtch Farm is a small family run dog friendly bed and breakfast accommodation near the Brecon Beacons and is situated in the small rural hamlet of Rhiwfawr. It is located on a 3 acre smallholding surrounded by countryside and has spectacular views of the Black Mountain and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The farm is a 10-minute drive to the National Park entrance and only 45 minutes from the Gower Peninsula and all their stunning award winning beaches.
When you stay at Cwtch Farm, we are inviting you into our home as our guests and we will aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We do live on site but we treat all our guests as family and welcome you to enjoy all the facilities that we have to offer. Dogs are also accepted as long as they are friendly and fully vaccinated.
Sunrises and Singing Birds
You can wake up to incredible sunrises and listen to the many birds singing, followed by a hearty breakfast to start you on your day. If you decide that you need a break from exploring all that South Wales has to offer then you can join us for a relaxing afternoon tea overlooking the mountains.
Whilst staying here you can walk in our field and admire the views, relax in your en-suite room (all of which have amazing views of the Black Mountain), take a walk around the local area or watch the sunset with a glass of wine in our panoramic conservatory. Once night fall arrives you can sit out and watch the stars and the occasional bat. We have fantastic views of meteor showers and a telescope to look at the moon.
Dogs
Dogs are as much a guest here as their humans and all furry guests have their own basket of goodies, bed and space to run around as well as play time with the resident dogs. The field and stream are a great place for them to unwind and experience all that the countryside has to offer.
Activities
We are lucky that our accommodation is near the Brecon Beacons where there are some incredible walks and activities on our doorstep and you never have to travel far to find a new adventure. We have a wealth of information and maps in the house so if you need any help planning your trip to make the most of South Wales or just have a general query about the accommodation then please do not hesitate to send us a message.
When you stay at Cwtch farm you become one of the family and we aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
